Ulysses S.Grant

Ulysses S. Grant was born April 27. 1822 on a farm near Point Pleasant, Ohio. President Lincoln made Grant Commander of all Union forces of the United States in march, 1864. After many battles with General Lee and the Southern Army. General Lee finally surrenderd April 9. 1865. After the Civil War Grant was elected President in 1868 and re - elected in 1872.
